Love antiques? The OKC Land Run Antique Show is happening now at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Cox Pavilion. Featuring over 50,000 sq ft of hand-picked, authentic antique and vintage merchandise presented by more than 80 dealers, the annual antique show and sale opened on Saturday to rave reviews.
Antique Show in Oklahoma City opens to rave reviews
"The Land Run is hands down my all-time favorite Oklahoma City antiques show," said Realtor Jill Deloitt. Jill purchased several pieces of antique furniture and a wall-hanging for her office.
A Picker's Delight!
Just $6.00 buys admittance to the event which boasts 150+ booths offering antique furniture, vintage clothing, estate jewelry, vintage holiday, Victorian, art, glass & pottery, coins, western, vintage toys & pop culture, early pawn jewelry, bakelite, art deco/nouveau, industrial, mid-century, European linens, advertising, majolica, 50's kitchenware, dolls, primitives, sewing-related, porcelain, sterling, garden, upcycled & shabby chic, antique lighting, quilts, tools, bottles, tins, transferware, perfumes, trunks, books, maps and more.
"If you weren’t already a collector, you could easily become one with the variety of dealers and the quality of antiques they have," said Amy Moses, a homemaker and mother-of-four who drove down from Guthrie, OK for the show. "I'm really impressed," she said.
Equally impressive is what you won't find at the OKC Land Run Antique Show. In order to ensure the show is appealing to both serious antique collectors and those who just like to do a little picking for fun or profit, Organizer Gail Kinney has a strict policy against dealers selling anything other than authentic antiques, vintage or quality repurposed items.
"We don't sell hair bows, new clothing, body scrubs, etc." Kinney says.
You won't find any "as seen on TV" gadgets or multi-level marketing merchandise at the Land Run Antique show, either. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
Largest Antique & Vintage Event in OklahomaFed up with a lack of quality antique shows in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kinney and her husband, Scott, founded the Heritage Event Company in 2009 and launched the Vintage Tulsa Show soon after. Today the husband and wife team produce shows in numerous states, including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas and the Vintage Tulsa Show is now the largest of its kind in Oklahoma.

It's past time for you to be on the road if you're going to make it!!!!
I'll stop here. But not before leaving you with a few 'inspirational' photos that Gail has posted on OKC Land Run's Facebook page. As far as I know, all of these items are on sale at the OKC Land Run Antiques Show. (Be sure to scroll down the page to see a map and a list of dealers and their merchandise!)
