Looking for free Garage Sale Advertising online? You're Smart.
A lot of shoppers these days would rather search for sales online than go out and
buy a newspaper for planning their route. The good news is, most of the websites they search also offer
free garage sale ads.
Unlike traditional newspaper classifieds that charge per word or line,
websites that offer
free garage sale ads give you enough space to really sell your event. In addition to time,
date and location, most free garage sale ads allow room for an
eye-catching graphic, a catchy headline, good photos and a short list of items you're selling -- all without spending a dime.
Some free yard sale websites, such as
gsalr.com, also pinpoint your sale on a map to
make it easy for shoppers to find. And if you make a mistake or forget to
include an important photo, sites like PostMyGarageSale.com
allow you to change your free garage sale ads at any time, even after they're
posted. (You can't do that with newspaper ads!)
If you're short on time or just want try a few, You should definitely place
free garage sale ads on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and YardSaleSearch.com. That combination will get your ad in front of a large number of shoppers
in your area who are specifically looking for yard sales to attend.
And yes, your cat wearing a sandwich board with the words "Garage Sale" written across it does technically qualify as free garage sale advertising. Just be sure to place some free garage sale ads on a few of the following websites, as well. ;-)

* Estimated Monthly Visitor Traffic Source: TheHoth, 9/18/2020
Note: Try not to use the traffic
counts to filter out the smaller websites and only advertise on the
sites with a huge number of visitors. Use them to choose a mix of both
high and medium traffic websites that offer free garage sale ads,
instead.
Big classifieds websites that get a ton of visitors are good because
potentially a whole lot of people might see your ad. But, the majority of
visitors to those websites are looking for something other than yard
sales or they're looking for yard sales outside your area.
Free Yard Sale sites, websites dedicated to listing yard sales, may
not get as much overall traffic as the huge classifieds websites, but
they get enough and the people who visit them go specifically to find yard sales. They do a better job of presenting users with sales
in their local area, too.
Also, don't discount the power of free garage sale ads on
small garage sale websites. These sites are usually more generous with
the amount of space they give you and more importantly, your ad will be
a big fish in a small pond. In other words, with fewer ads, yours is
more likely to stand out.
I hope this helps!
