Which glue works best to repurpose Junk Garden Art?

I've received several emails asking me to recommend glue that works well on garage sale junk, so I thought I should post a quick note here. To create outdoor garden art, I recommend using GE Silicone G5000 Clear Silicone II. (Try saying that three times fast! LOL) Technically, GE Silicone G5000 isn't glue, but rather a waterproof silicone sealant that acts as a super strong adhesive. It's the same product Melissa Wills, The Empress of Dirt, recommends.

GE Silicone is meant for sealing windows and doors, but it's the best glue out there (better than E6000 glue, in my opinion) for permanently adhering glass to glass, metal to glass, glass and metal to wood and just about any other junk you typically find at garage sales. I love it because it forms such a strong, long-lasting bond that I can leave my junk garden art creations outside year-round no matter the weather.
